Reading Certificates

Picture 1

At the end of each Term, children who have read regularly at home are awarded a certificate in Celebration Assembly.

Reading at home is indicated by a signature on the 'Reading at Home' chart in the front of children's blue home-school reading records.

We expect children to have read at least 30 times at home in a 6 week term and 35 times in a 7 week term.

Term 1 KS1 Reading Achievers

Term 1 KS1 Reading Achievers 1 14 Owls read at least 30 times during Term 1
Term 1 KS1 Reading Achievers 2 12 Robins read at least 30 times during Term 1
Term 1 KS1 Reading Achievers 3 24 Buzzards read at least 30 times during Term 1
We are extremely proud of the 50 children (61% of Key Stage 1) who read at least 30 times at home during Term 1.  All children received their 'Reading Award' in Celebration Assembly on the final day of Term.

Term 2 KS1 Reading Achievers

Term 2 KS1 Reading Achievers 1 11 Owls read at least 35 times during Term 2
Term 2 KS1 Reading Achievers 2 10 Robins read at least 35 times during Term 2
Term 2 KS1 Reading Achievers 3 18 Buzzards read at least 35 times during Term 2

We are very proud of the 39 children (48% of Key Stage 1) who read at least 35 times at home during Term 2.  Term 2 was a long and extremely busy term both in School, and we are sure at home, with preparations for Christmas so a huge 'well done' to those children and families who still gave reading a high priority at home each week.

All children received their 'Reading Award' in Celebration Assembly on the final day of Term 2.
